Until he was hurt, Carp has been the man the past three years. I don't know if he can be counted on to do that again. Getting another top of the rotation guy would be a nice addition. If we don't have the chips to make a trade for a big pitcher, then the next logical step is to improve the offense. Besides, offensive players play every day rather than once every 5 days.
