Looking forward
No reviews, no contract talk. Just a straight blog.
I love baseball but a big part of me really enjoys the hot stove league talk. It is fun to try to put together your team for next year. Remember as a kid when you made “fake” trades with your buddies? Jerry and I used to do that all the time. Like would you trade Jerry McNertney for _____? (We would’ve traded him for anyone.)
I want to be in the postseason. I am old enough to remember all the Cards WS games from 1964 to present. But now we can connect the dots and make a new team to win it next year.
You with me?
BTW: I will NOT watch the Cubs in the playoffs.

The hot stove league is interesting and has been getting more interesting by the year. This offseason should be huge. We know that the team isn’t likely to stand pat. Will there be a big deal? Will there be a firestorm of “cheap ownership” if they do a little bargain hunting? Who stays, who goes? It should be fun.
I’m rooting for the Indians and whomever is playing the Cubs!
It was fun watching the Cub fans get all pumped up all year long like they were the second coming of Murderer’s Row, then crap their pants this weekend and get swept by an above average Diamondbacks team. Gotta love the Cubs…..haha! I can’t wait to get a shirt that says “100 years of losing and misery= Cubs.
