Pitchers shuffled

Anthony Reyes warmed up and was ready. Minutes before the first pitch the heavy rains came that was to linger in STL until early morning hours. At 8:02 CST the game was called. This shuffles the pitchers. Reyes will now pitch Monday vs Pittsburgh. Wells goes tonight vs Jeff Suppan.

Suppan is 0-2 for the Brewers and was moved up a day after Ben Sheets also had warmed up. Sheets will now go on Sunday vs the Cards and we will miss Chris Capuano in the rotation.

The Cardinals announced that Looper will still pitch Sunday with the aforementioned Reyes on Monday. He is followed by Wainwright on Tuesday. Randy Kiesler will open the series vs the San Francisco Giants.

This is the 3rd rain-out in the new Busch Stadium.
