Let’s take a look at each team for this week. Ok, maybe two sentences in some places.
Rangers-The red-hot Rangers now have Nelson Cruz on fire as he got eight RBI’s in one game this week and has hit a few home runs.
Orioles-Things may be going south the Orioles as they lost 2 of 3 from the Royals and Red Sox this week.
Rays-Tampa Bay went into Fenway and took 2 out of 3 this week but not before bad blood was spilled.
Indians-The scorching White Sox spoiled the fact the Indians handled the Tigers this week.
Yankees-The Yankees have put it together only to travel west this week to play the red-hot Angels and Albert Pujols.
Blue Jays-The team has gone on a losing streak.
White Sox- The offense is on fire and Dayan “The Tank” Viciedo has ignited the fire.
Red Sox-The Orioles and Rays handled this team and now the Tigers are coming.
Angels- This is what the team, management and fans were expecting from Albert Pujols.
Tigers-Prince Fielder and Miguel Cabrera have to catch fire now that Austin Jackson is on the DL.
Athletics- The best player no one knows is Josh Reddick with 13 home runs for the A’s.
Mariners-Closing is a problem and Brandon League is out according to manager Eric Wedge.
Royals-This team is trying to climb out and Jeff Francoeur is leading the way with four homers and a .440 average this week.
Twins-Morneau has been sporadic with four home runs this week but only 6 total hits.
Cubs- They’re a terrible team and finally came out of a horrific losing streak.
Dodgers-The resurgence of Chris Capuano has jolted the Dodgers with 8 consecutive quality starts.
Nationals-The say the “B” word in the Nation’s Capital and it is Bryce with two homers and 5-for-11 on the week.
Mets-Pitching has been the key with Johan Santana hurling a no hitter and Dickey fanning 10 Padres.
Marlins-Ozzie Guillen had them playing their best in the month of May.
Reds-The only thing a hot team can do is stay hot and the Reds went 6-1 this week and smacked 17 long balls which included a sweep of the Braves.
Cardinals-Mike Matheny needs to use any medical knowledge he has with this crippled team relying on old vets like Furcal and Beltran.
Braves-Look good last week with the Cardinals but now the Reds destroy them.
Phillies-Injuries are biting them with the recent addition of Roy Halladay going on the DL.
Giants-Melky Cabrera had a nice week with three four-hit days.
Pirates-It took 47 games for the Pirates to hit a homer with more than one on base as Pedro Alvarez did it on Sunday.
Diamondbacks-The only good news is they have Miguel Montero to contract for the next five years.
Astros-One year you lose 20 games and the next J.A. Happ is a strikeout machine in Houston.
Brewers- Everyone is hurt it appears for this team as they continue to struggle.
Padres-One good thing is Carlos Quentin is back from the DL.
Rockies-You are bound to win when you hit five home runs in a game unless you are the Rockies playing the Reds.
