The switch-hitter has a very good line drive approach at the plate with excellent bat speed. Rodriguez is stronger than you’d think given his size, and he could add more pop as he matures. He’s a plus runner who has gotten better at second base as well. Rodriguez is athletic enough that he could move to the outfield if there’s no room at second in St. Louis.
He is currently hitting .311 with 53 runs scored, 23 doubles, 6 triples and 6 home runs in 351 at bats for the season. He has collected 45 RBI’s with 34 walks and 75 strikeouts to go along with 15 stolen bases.
