So you need tickets? Great. There are several venues to get those from. TicketMaster and StubHub are two of the most widely used.
Ticket Master RANT: One of the things that bothers me the most by getting tickets from Ticket Master is they have a gigantic upcharge on the handling of EVERY ticket. Not the group of 4 or 6, but EACH ONE. Let’s say you order $30 per seat tickets and you want 4 of them. That’s $120 dollars for the tickets BUT …..
they now place a handling fee of $7.50 per ticket on top of that so they add another $30 to your total and there is some other fee inserted. Now it is $150 for your group of 4. Let’s review my situation when I went to Spring Training in Jupiter.
Spring Training ticket were $25 per ticket and I needed 10 of them, 5 games, 2 tickets and it was $75 for handling from Ticket Master. Now I don’t claim to have a complete handle on this but I could mail them, ship them or overnight them to me for a whole lot less than what they are charging. USPS can bring them to you for less than $1.00 for ALL of them. I bought my tickets at the box office in Jupiter to save the fee.
STUB Hub Warning: If you order tickets from them be very careful if your event gets cancelled or postponed as they only allow you 2 weeks to handle it and it is done through email only. Here is their statement:
If an event is cancelled and will not occur at a later date, StubHub will send the Buyer an email offering the Buyer the opportunity to return their tickets within 2 weeks in order to receive a refund for the full cost of the tickets, including service fees and shipping and handling charges. StubHub, in its sole discretion, will determine when an event has been cancelled. If an event is postponed or rescheduled, the Buyer may use the tickets on the rescheduled date or, time permitting, list them for sale at StubHub. If an event is postponed but replacement tickets are required for entry to the event on the rescheduled date, StubHub will work to obtain replacement tickets for the Buyer. If an event is postponed and the number of replacement tickets available is limited, StubHub may, in its sole discretion, deem the event cancelled.
Just giving my blog readers a heads-up on getting tickets. Be carefully out there!
Another quick friendly reminder that the St. Louis Cardinals party suites go on sale on Tuesday, December 7, at 10:00 AM CST. If you have a certain game you are hoping to get party box tickets for than you better get them now. Big games usually sell out quickly.
The Party Suites have all-inclusive style buffets with hotdogs, soda, beer, etc… My family and I do this every year for at least one game and we absolutely love it. You can get more information about the Cardinals party suites online.
