Carpenter and rotation
Short post.
So why was Garcia scheduled to pitch Sunday? So that he is in the same rotation spot as Carpenter is in his rehab starts. Whether one, two or three starts, it is easy to slide Carpenter into that spot.

How do you really feel about Carpenter making his way back? Things are going well right now. You think this is a good thing?
I do think it is a good thing. We shall ee how his start on Sunday develops. Mozeliak said he was MLB ready now but they wanted to get a few minor league games in. Look for him Friday to start for the big club.
When and if (potentially big questions yet, at least IMO) Carpenter is healthy and conditioned to start in the bigs – he is instantly a comparable “acquisition” to CC and Harden.
A healthy Carp and Waino at the front line of this rotation will bolster the bullpen when they push one or two of those arms back.
I wouldn’t be shocked to see Looper head back to the ‘pen.
I would like to see Wainwright go back to being the closer when and if he and Carpenter are healthy. That is for the remainder of this year. The bullpen needs help.
