One, the whole &quot;hometown discount&quot; comments do come off the wrong way.  I don&#039;t care too much for that since the Cards could have gotten something pretty decent for him at the deadline.

Two, bullpen arms seem to fluctuate.  One year they are good, the next they blow up.  I&#039;d take a chance and bring him back, but I wouldn&#039;t get into a bidding war over it.</description>

I don&#039;t blame him for not wanting to give a discount.  He already gave it to them this year, 2007!

2.5-3.0 million ought to be about right considering what&#039;s being paid to significantly lesser performing players.</description>
