Remember that one rotten apple does spoil the whole bunch. The media attention goes up by a factor of 3, at least. It puts Ankiel's story back into the light. I'm not big on added distractions. Sure, he might help the team, but he might not. Can you see Bonds going to Memphis to get his timing back? I've got trouble seeing that. I just don't think the upside outweighs the down.
