Maybe my loyalties are misplaced like you say. Part of me was hoping he'd decide to retire when the news of his latest injury came out, because then I could have my cake and eat it too. Maybe I was hoping he'd get healthy. Maybe I'd rather think of the club as a family than strictly "a business". I wish I had a more convincing argument for you. (Maybe I'm just argumentative.) Maybe they could hire him as a coach... Good blog, though! I don’t know.

I refuse to give up on him though. Maybe because he was so good when he was healthy, maybe because he's a local boy, or maybe because I'm just a sucker for a pretty face, I want to see Izzy retire as a Cardinal even if that means costing us a few games in the meantime.
