Rumor has it the Cards are intensifying efforts to trade for Matt Holliday.

Supposively, Ludwick and either Motte, McClellan or Perez and a minor leaguer can do it.

Now MH is a free agent after this year and a Boras client. He will be owed over $7 mil for the remainder of the year.

Ok, Ludwick is 30 yrs old and just had his first and I believe only good year. We should have dealt him in the offseason but we have the tendency to over value our players.

In order that I wouldn’t mind if we traded them are Motte, McClelland and then Perez. If the minor leaguer is a Shane Robinson type I am ok with that.

The crux: Can Holliday be signed after the completion of the season? He has indicated he would love to play in STL.

I would like to see him hitting 3rd with AP 4th or hitting 4th with Albert in his usual 3rd spot.

I am for trying this deal. What we have is not going to last , I don’t believe and we will sink into 3-4-5 place by years end.

Git R Done.
