Time to devote to your pet cause, Tony. What an odd call to walk Atkins when you have a 2-1 count to load the bases. The next batter, Hawpe, coaxes a walk to force in what is the winning run. I know, you have won over 2300 games. But that is in the past and right now your team is 9 games back. We need new blood.
Albert, Jimmy and Scottie- 2 for last 37- You gotta pick it up boys. We can’t score runs. We win Sunday but only scored 3 runs and then lose with 2 on Monday. 1-15 with less than 2 runs. Where, O Where, has the Offense gone?
If you want to know more of my feelings read my last post on “We are being fed horse slop”. I feel that way more and more as the season goes by. We are 31 games in to the season and have shown no progress.

To be honest, I thought this might happen. First of all, that “double” was a home run so I don’t really care what happened after that. Baseball seems to have a way of balancing stuff like that out.
However, I kept saying this winter that we need to get a big bat to protect Pujols in the lineup. Now I had no idea Albert would get off to such a slow start but I did know that Scotty Ballgame and Jimmy weren’t going to be enough. Now the pressure is all on Walt. He’s got to pull the trigger and get a BIG bat here somehow. Yeah he’s had a lot of successes but the Mulder deal was as lopsided as they get and signing Jimmy for another two years was confusing at best. We should ship Jimmy, Izzy, and maybe Eck if anyone would take him. I’m not sure who’s available but we’ve got to shake things up in a big way. If we don’t do it this year, next year will be the same as this year. Our pitching has been pretty good for the most part but only scoring two runs a game isn’t going to cut it no matter who you have pitching.
