To be honest, I thought this might happen. First of all, that "double" was a home run so I don't really care what happened after that. Baseball seems to have a way of balancing stuff like that out.

However, I kept saying this winter that we need to get a big bat to protect Pujols in the lineup. Now I had no idea Albert would get off to such a slow start but I did know that Scotty Ballgame and Jimmy weren't going to be enough. Now the pressure is all on Walt. He's got to pull the trigger and get a BIG bat here somehow. Yeah he's had a lot of successes but the Mulder deal was as lopsided as they get and signing Jimmy for another two years was confusing at best. We should ship Jimmy, Izzy, and maybe Eck if anyone would take him. I'm not sure who's available but we've got to shake things up in a big way. If we don't do it this year, next year will be the same as this year. Our pitching has been pretty good for the most part but only scoring two runs a game isn't going to cut it no matter who you have pitching.
