Carp's return should boost both performance and morale; and now that Pujols has broken that achingly long homerun slump, we should be in for some enjoyable, or at least non-tortuous, games. I don't quite want to give up yet, especially with Carp and Wainwright coming back soon. However, after watching the pen implode and our offense struggle in clutch spots, I'm painfully aware of our flaws as well. I'd love to see a trade for Halladay or Burnett (as long as he'd agree to stay for a while) because I think those both help immediately and in the long run but other than that, I'm not sure we'll have any trades to make. The only player we could sell would be Lohse and I'd rather try to resign him. Carp, Wainwright, Lohse is a potent front 3 and I'd like to have a full season of that. I’m right there with ya.
