Cardinals GM

A look at the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team from a GM perspective.

Things are Bad. The Cardinals Border on Pathetic.

The Cardinals team just isn’t there. They show they can compete against the Phillies…. and we know they are the lowliest of lowly. They go to extra innings in two games and lose the third. They struggled.

The Pirates aren’t having a good season either and they beat the Cardinals 4-3. Did you see the answer from Mike Matheny on Seung-Hwan Oh?

“I think it’s just elevated pitches. I think it’s usually the sharpness of his slider that makes everything else better.”

Of course, he is our closer…. or is it Rosenthal who is hittable. The media has decided to buy into the Adam Wainwright words that he will come back sharper than ever. The problem is that is written about every other start.

Baserunning is atrocious as the Cardinals lead the league with 54 runners lost on the base path. Piscotty took off on a ball hit in short right field only to get doubled up. It happens game after game after game.

Things are pathetic right now and moves must be made to correct it before next season. It may take new leadership to turn this around. This is bad.
